A fabulous, lush evergreen climber and alternative to Clematis, Passiflora is a perfect choice for any garden because of their ease of growing and toughness and resilience. Supplied as a collection of 3 established plants in a 9cm pots, ready to plant, these exotic looking multi-layered flowers are great for covering walls, trellises and arches. These plants like a warm sunny spot and well drained soil and can reach 3m in 5 years or so, but can easily be trained to shape and size by pruning in early spring. Blooming in June and July, the exotic flowers are followed by plum sized edible fruit. As part of this collection you will get one each of the following:

What you need to know:
Passion flowers tends to bloom particularly well when their roots are restricted by a container or path side border
When planting in a container, use John Innes No 3 potting compost, or any good quality compost
Pot-grown shrubs can be planted at any time of the year as long as the soil is not waterlogged or frozen
Water your potted plant well, then dig a hole a little deeper and 3 x wider than the nursery pot
Add a soil conditioner such as well-rotted manure to the earth removed from the hole if necessary
Remove the plant from its pot and tease out a few of the roots
Place your plant in the hole at the same level at the pot
Water well and regularly for the first few months
Apply a generous layer of mulch around the base of the plant after planting and thereafter annually
Little pruning is needed apart from removing any branches that are dead, damaged or diseased
